Emma's kindergarten graduation

A flower for a lady...

Two happy smiles...

How can the summation of days and nights that seemed to last forever add up to a fleeting memory of time passing so swiftly -- my little one is growing up! People tell you it will be so, but you never quite imagine how quickly your children will transform!

I must say Jonathan was wondering why HE didn't get to have a graduation at HIS school, like Emma. He wondered if the children borrowed their parents' hats. (Kinda cool.) Emma looks fabulous. What a lady.

The hats were made out of poster board and yarn -- very smart looking! The children even moved their tassels from one side to the other when they were all through the line.

And no, Emma didn't cross any bridges -- she wasn't growing up to a new school -- but they did sing a really enjoyable remake of the old classic "New York, New York": "Start spreadin' the news. We're leavin' today. We wanna be a part of it, first grade, first grade..."

LOL I love it! That's great. Jonathan's class did a ton of songs, and one of them was "My favorite things" which I loved. "Crayons on paper and cutting with scissors. . .When we grow up, and we're older, we'll be feeling glad. We'll always remember our favorite things, and what a great yeeeeeear, we've had." Still gives me goosebumps honestly. :)
